RepEaT
Rekhaon Ka Khel Hai Muqaddar
Rekhaon Se Maat Kha Rahe Ho
The lines wouldn’t go away. I scrubbed some more but they were stuck fast, glued to me till eternity. I rubbed harder and stronger with my thumb, trying to erase my fate. All I wanted was to banish them and recreate.
Redraw the lines out of my mind.
Rewrite my life out of the cold whiteness that had swamped me and taken over.
Redefine myself out from the corner of this 6*10 cell where every second the walls threatened to crush me to dust.
I didn’t want this bloody dictated tragedy but my very own sugary fairytale with characters I got to keep.
Damn these lines! Go Away! Why can’t you just fade into oblivion?
----------
“I’m sorry if I hurt you unknowingly but sometimes we have to do some things like this.”
Breathe. Smile.
Jin Zakhmon Ko Waqt Bhar Chala Hai
Tum Kyon Unhe Chhedhe Ja Rahe Ho
Sorry! How can I heal if you won’t let me?
Sorry but please Stop playing doctor. Sorry but you’ve already screwed up "prevention"; I can’t trust you with "cure".
(Verses from Tum Itna Jo Muskura Rahe Ho, Arth- Jagjit Singh)
